Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what Fugio is, what it isn't, and how your data is treated.

What is the best cashflow projection app?

Fugio is built specifically for household cashflow projection: it models your future income and expenses from your schedules instead of only categorizing past spending. It supports multiple currencies, and adds what-if simulation on top of the projection.

How is Fugio different from a budgeting app?

Budgeting apps look backward β€” last month's categories, this month's envelopes. Fugio looks forward: paydays, bills, loan payments and budgets become a projected balance line months or years ahead, with cash drops marked before they happen. You can keep your budgeting app; Fugio answers "what happens next".

Does Fugio require my bank login?

No. You control your inputs, schedules and registries manually. There are no third-party bank aggregators and no screen-scraping β€” which also means no aggregator breach surface and no selling of connection data. The trade-off is a few minutes of setup; the payoff is a projection you can trust and explain.

Is Fugio available in my country?

Yes β€” Fugio is a global product with a multi-currency core, so households anywhere can use it. Canada is our beachhead: the first localized tools (like the Job Offer Comparator) natively support CAD and regional specifics such as Ontario marginal rates and CPP/EI, with more locales following the same pattern.

What is a "what-if" simulation?

Simulation mode clones your entire financial picture into a sandbox. Edits you make there β€” a raise, a new loan, a paused subscription β€” show up on the projection as reversible changes, logged in a Changes list with per-row undo. Your real data is never touched until you decide to apply something.

How accurate are the projections?

As accurate as your schedules β€” and honest about it. Fixed contracts (loans with a final payment date) follow the bank contract verbatim; variable income is modeled the way you schedule it. Projections are estimates based on your inputs, not promises.

Does the AI touch my money?

No. Fugio does not connect to your bank accounts to move money, and the AI cannot make transactions on its own. It is an assistant over your manually entered and scheduled data. Any recorded action requires your explicit confirmation first, and every action is logged in the append-only ledger.

Is my data sent to a third party to train models?

No. Fugio calls standard commercial AI endpoints (OpenAI, Anthropic, and others) where data is excluded from training, and with Bring Your Own Model you supply your own API keys for full control. Your financial records stay in Fugio; only the text of your question and the data needed to answer it go to the model you chose.

What can the Telegram bot do?

The same assistant as on the web, in chat: query your balances and upcoming bills, ask "how am I doing?", search past spending, and log everyday purchases naturally. It binds securely to your Fugio account and follows the same confirmation rules.

Is this financial advice?

No. Fugio is mathematical projection software for individual use. Projections are estimates based on your inputs, not professional financial advice. For decisions with legal or tax consequences, consult a licensed professional.

How much does it cost?

Free while in invite beta β€” no card required. We make money from subscriptions (coming soon), never from ads or selling data.

What happens to my data if I leave?

It stays yours. You can request erasure at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what we store and for how long.
